Company History
Suburbia Systems, Inc. was established in 1955 to design and manufacture water and wastewater treatment systems for municipal and industrial facilities. Suburbia Systems, Inc. was purchased by Unifilt Corporation and renamed Suburbia Systems Corporation (SSC) in 1990. Unifilt, a major producer of filter media for water, wastewater and other applications, has offices in Pittsburgh and in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. SSC is continuing to broaden its line of package secondary treatment plants, clarification and thickening units, filters and related equipment. SSC is proud to have reached a milestone installing more than 1000 systems throughout the world.
